At TK Beads you can watch as they make beads and jewelry from glass.
They start with recycled bottles.
They pound the glass to fine powder with a large metal pole.
Then they place it in molds and melt it in the wood fired brick oven.
They paint it, string it and sell it.

So nice that you were able to see the actual production of glass beads! I'm almost certain the beads I bought in Nigeria were made in Ghana. Thanks for the great pictures of the process. Jane
